At Amore, we love everything to do with Italian dining. As a matter of fact, it’s no accident that ‘Amore’ is the Italian word for love. By the way - for any non-Italian speakers out there - this is probably as good a time as any to let you know, Amore has three syllables. If in doubt, check out the song “That’s Amore”, which was performed by Dean Martin, among others.
In any event, we’re not going to worry about that!
The purpose of this all new ‘news’ section of our website (oh, and welcome to our very first news update!) is to keep you abreast with everything that’s going on with our two Italian restaurants in Glasgow. From here, you be offered information about upcoming special events, as well as information relating to our menu and even information about Italian cuisine in general.
For mostly geographic reasons, Italy has a very rich tapestry of food history. We’re excited about sharing the history behind of some of our popular dishes. We also hope you’ll enjoy learning about some of the many health benefits that can be experienced by those who choose to dine the Italian way.
Quick factoid: Did you know that the NHS has an entire webpage dedicated to ‘How to make your diet more Mediterranean”? Don't just take our word for it. Go see for yourself!
Friends, the evidence is clear. The studies have been conducted. The data has been authenticated. The jury is no longer out. Italian food is good for you!
So, the next time you’re planning on eating out in Glasgow, and you’re weighing up the various options that you have, please do take a moment to consider how you’ll feel after your meal. Yes - of course, we’re going to tell you that Italian dining is best! However, it’s not just some shpeel. Here at Amore, we are very passionate about using only the finest fresh ingredients. We cook meals, old style and that means better taste, texture, nutrition and overall better health for you. We want you to you feel good before, during and even after your visit!
Unfortunately, since the financial crisis of 2008, Glasgow has lost some of its very best Italian restaurants. What’s also rather sad is the there are still lots of people in and around Glasgow who - through no fault of their own - have never had an opportunity to experience authentic Italian cuisine in a family ran Italian restaurant. So, one of the reasons why we’re doing these news articles is also just to let you know that “Hey! We’re here!”
Yes! It’s true. We’re here. We do have a voice. You can talk to us. It’s March. Brexit is all over the news. We’d love to welcome you to one of our restaurants and if you have any comments or suggestions for our website or one of our Italian restaurants then we’d love to hear from you.
If you haven’t experienced an authentic Italian restaurant for a while, we would simply invite you to come over and try out something simple like a pizza or a carbonara. We’re absolutely sure, you definitely will notice the difference!
Vivi a lungo ed in prosperità!
Here at Amore we value the importance of fantastic food and quality service, and would like to take the opportunity to invite you to come and share with us our love and passion for traditional Italian dining.
